Jimmy Blakeney is a veteran of the outdoor & action sports industries with over 25 years of experience in all facets of the business. For the past six years Blakeney has spearheaded BIC Sport’s product and marketing efforts in the Stand Up Paddle category, helping grow the business more than 400% by co-developing award-winning products together with sales and marketing programs that have established BIC Sport as a market leader in SUP. In his previous role as brand manager at Confluence Watersports Blakeney helped grow the Wave Sport brand over 200% in three years, re-establishing it as the market leader. After receiving his BS in Biology and MA in Science Education from Virginia Tech Jimmy focused on his athletic talents and love of whitewater kayaking, becoming US National Champion in 2003.
